FAQs

What does the purchase price of a house cover?

The total purchase price covers the house itself, the transport of the house to the new prepared site and a new standard 3604 tanapile foundation.

Do you include plans and council consents?

No, the purchase price does not include the drafting of plans for building consent or any council fees. However, we do have very experienced contacts within the industry that are able to help you with these and Jazz will guide you through the process from purchase to completion.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, you will need to pay a 30% deposit to secure your house after a contract is signed and a site inspection completed.

Do you shift houses other than your own stock?

Yes, we can shift and pile both new and 2nd hand houses purchased externally.

How long does it take to obtain a granted building consent after purchasing a relocatable house?

Each district, council and site are very different and so can all take varying time. A good ball park figure is to allow 12 to 20 weeks from engaging a draftsman or architect to receiving your granted building consent.

What size or type of building can I put on my site?

The first place to start when buying either a new or 2nd hand relocatable dwelling is to have a meeting with the town planner at your local council. They will be able to give you the best advice as to what is permitted on your site. Providing you stick to their guidelines building consent will be easily granted.
